There is a reason you feel like you are in a battle. Because you are.

But it is not a battle of weapons. It is not always fought out loud. It is a war for your soul, for your lineage, and for your future. And the enemy is not a monster outside you. It is the serpent coiled through time, patterned into your cells, whispering that nothing can change.

In myth, this serpent takes many names.

Ouroboros, the snake that devours its own tail

Jörmungandr, the Norse world serpent

Leviathan, the chaos dragon of the deep

In every story, the serpent encircles the world, symbolizing the great karmic loop, the unconscious cycle, the pain that repeats until something breaks it.

That something is you.

You Are the Hero at the End of the World.

In Norse mythology, Thor must face Jörmungandr at Ragnarök, the end of the world. They strike each other down in a final, fated battle. In Hebrew mysticism, Leviathan must be slain so that creation can flourish. In each of these myths, the hero faces the ancient serpent that threatens divine order.

This is not coincidence. These stories are codes embedded into the collective psyche. They are blueprints of the human journey. Jung understood this well. He wrote that the hero archetype lives within each of us. It emerges when we begin to confront the shadow, the unconscious, the pain inherited from family, culture, and time itself.

When you choose to face your trauma with awareness

When you stop running and turn inward

When you hold compassion in one hand and a sword in the other

You are living out the myth of Thor

You are slaying Leviathan

You are breaking the ouroboros

The Ouroboros and the Karmic Loop

At first glance, the ouroboros looks like balance. Life, death, rebirth. But in its shadow form, it also represents addiction, unconscious reaction, ancestral repetition, and the pain of survival mode.

Unhealed trauma feeds the serpent. So does generational silence, spiritual bypassing, and the belief that this is just the way things are.

But the moment you bring conscious awareness to a pattern, the snake pauses

The moment you name the wound and choose a new response, it recoils

The moment you refuse to pass it on, it dies a little more

In quantum physics, this is mirrored in the observer effect. The act of watching changes the outcome. When you observe your trauma without judgment, you shift your energetic field. You shift timelines. You rewrite the myth.

You stop being a character in someone else’s story and begin writing your own.

This process mirrors the ancient alchemical path. The serpent is your nigredo—the blackening, the shadow, the rot. Facing it begins the transformation. Slaying it brings the rubedo—the red dawn of integration. You do not just kill the old self. You purify it into something holy.

God Is Within You

In many spiritual traditions, the power to face the serpent is not external. It comes from the divine spark within. The Hermetic axiom teaches:

“God is an infinite circle whose center is everywhere and circumference nowhere.”

That means you are the center. God meets the serpent through your hands.

You are not separate from the divine story. You are the moment it becomes real.

This is not metaphor. This is spiritual physics. You are the container and conduit for divine change. You are where heaven touches earth.

Aquarius

Astrologically, many believe we are transitioning from the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius. The Age of Pisces, ruled by sacrifice and illusion, emphasized saviors and systems outside the self. But Aquarius is the water-bearer, one who carries knowledge, truth, and healing. It is the age of the inner teacher, of collective awakening, of the self becoming sovereign.

Carl Jung predicted this shift in his work Aion, where he linked the Age of Pisces with the archetype of Christ and the struggle between opposites. He foresaw that this age would culminate in a confrontation with the shadow: a return of the repressed divine feminine, the serpent, the unconscious. In his words, “The coming of the Self is always a defeat for the ego.”

And that is what we are living through now. The battle with the world serpent is also the confrontation with our own shadow on a global scale. Individuation is no longer just a personal journey. It is a collective necessity.

Some would say we are leaving an age of illusion and entering one of revelation. The more each of us steps out of the ouroboros, the more the collective serpent loses its grip.

This is how the new world begins.
